Oftentimes provide cheaper foods (deli) rather than other Safeway branch. Best branch in Metro Vancouver! 😉

Nice place, friendly staff, fresh and clean inside, a bit priced (approx 15-20% depends on item category compared to the other supermarkets), but still ok. Wide range of cooked food ready-to-eat, pastry and so on. There are Starbucks shop inside with the seating zone. Used to do some small or particularly groceries here.

Went there two days ago to pick up cake around 9PM for my friend’s graduation and there was this girl who told me that someone was coming to help me out. I waited there for 10-15 minutes and no one showed up. That’s when i went to customer service where Japleen was working and talked rudely to me. I even heard her curse me and she stood another employee in front me to cover her area and was being rude to her too. I had the worst experience and don’t think that this location has friendly employees. I don’t think any customer deserves to be treated that way. May be recruit people who actually care.

However, some items can be a bit pricey compared to other local stores. Overall, it’s a reliable option for quick and easy grocery runs.

Grocery shopping in another country is always interesting. Many things are the same and many things are different. As grocery stores go, this Safeway is similar to others I have been to in the US. Produce, frozen, deli, bakery.

I picked up a can of baked beans. Yes, these are different. I've not seen "British-style" beans in Charlotte so this would be an interesting and portable thing I can bring home from British Columbia. (They're bigger beans than the Bush's beans I'm used to. And sweeter.)

Self-checkout worked fine and we were on our way.
