A perfect relaxing, beautiful getaway. Lots for the children to do including badminton, ping pong, a trampoline, board games, a PlayStation, DVDs and more! A short drive from water activities - we went paddle boarding and made some amazing memories. Steve and Helen - the owners, were so lovely and helpful and provided a whole folder of information on places of interest as well as being on hand for anything we needed including helping when our daughter needed to see a Dr. The building and grounds are beautiful and so spacious! The amazing Pool was the centre point of our day's and we miss it already. Thank you for a lovely stay and we look forward to visiting again!

Une escapade relaxante et magnifique. De nombreuses activités pour les enfants, notamment du badminton, du ping-pong, un trampoline, des jeux de société, une PlayStation, des DVD et bien plus encore ! À quelques minutes en voiture des activités nautiques, nous sommes allés faire du paddle et avons créé des souvenirs incroyables. Steve et Helen - les propriétaires, étaient très adorables et serviables et ont fourni tout un dossier d'informations sur les lieux d'intérêt ainsi que d'être à votre disposition pour tout ce dont nous avions besoin, y compris aider lorsque notre fille avait besoin de voir un docteur. Le bâtiment et les jardins sont magnifiques et tellement spacieux ! La magnifique piscine était le point central de notre journée et elle nous manque déjà. Merci pour ce séjour agréable et nous avons hâte de revenir !

If I could paint a picture of the French countryside with traditional villages, markets in medieval squares, wine sellers, shops full of patisserie, chateau’s and vineyards - this is it.
Les Quatre Chenes - with the beautiful oaks providing quiet shade, has comfortable gites in a traditional style - oak beams,stone floors and fireplaces, but also have all modern conveniences you need for a perfect stay.
We flew to Bordeaux airport from the UK and hired a car. Bergerac airport is even closer. It was a straightforward journey of just over an hour to the accommodations.
We toured the local region most days, ending each day relaxing by the pool in the garden or enjoying a glass of local wine on the terrace. Guests have full use of a good size private pool, situated in the extensive garden.
Helen and Steve are warm and welcoming hosts. They have fantastic knowledge of the area and are always happy to help.
The traditional gites can easily hold large groups, great for family gatherings or friends touring the region or they have one for just two. They’re spotlessly clean with plenty of space inside and out situated in a peaceful environment a short walk from Le Fleix village. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, it was perfection.

Fantastic holiday gites in a really peaceful and quiet location. Totally relaxed atmosphere with a great new pool. Massive garden for the kids to explore and play in. Well appointed gites, 20 minute drive to Bergerac and surrounded by vineyards. The selection of wines is amazing and such good value. Will definitely be booking these gites for next summer. They can take large groups of 20 and more, so if you go with all your family and friends it's facilities are all private.

What a lovely area of France to visit. Les Quatre Chenes is a comfortable and well maintained Gite to stay at, where you can cater for yourself in the well equipped kitchen or visit local restaurants. It is set in lovely wooded grounds and the swimming pool was very welcome after a warm day out.

It was well placed to visit the Bordeaux vineyards and partake in some wine tasting which was a pleasant way to spend the afternoon. A visit to Bergerac and St Emilion proved very enjoyable.

Steve and Helen were good hosts, very welcoming and have a good knowledge of what is available locally and more than willing to share that knowledge and guidance.

We just finished a three day reunion with friends where we stayed in gites built in different centuries. Old world charm with modern facilities. The new swimming pool is beautiful. Open grounds with mature trees provide a wonderful country atmosphere. Sounds of nearby farm animals remind you that you truly are in the French country. We took a short train ride into St. Emilion, the most famous location for wines in the Bordeaux region. Peaceful, quiet, and relaxing, with some of the finest wineries in the world nearby, we highly recommend Les Quatre Chenes. We hope to return someday.

The gite was well equipped, homely and of a very high standard. Helen keeps the place lovely and clean.

This is a piece of heaven !
So relaxing and peaceful.
Clean and spacious with everything you could possible need.
Hosts are the best could not do enough to make our stay relaxing.
Relaxing by the pool is fantastic the pool is refreshing and well maintained .local markets are well worth a visit and a very short drive away.
We have been back twice now and will will be returning next year.
