My daughter came across this gem today with the UN assembly traffic on the east side and it was our first time to try them out.

First Terrence was very accommodating, welcoming and very pleasant, he gave us a macaroon on the house to try the flavor was “macapuno” when he found out it was our first time the flavor was nice, my daughter loved it and decided to get the same flavor to purchase,
We had 4 flavors and i enjoyed the dark chocolate and the caramel one, its not too sweet and thats an asian compliment ?

The place is so fancy and very posh and so classy, their chocolates were so beautifully wrapped perfect for gifts to your wife or mom or anyone special.

They have a few tables and chairs at the back to enjoy the chocolates, i saw people woth coffee cup so i assume they also serve coffee there,

Another plus was the bathroom, it was clean!!!!

Walked here after ditching a ridiculous line at Glacé! Delicious hot chocolate, a cozy seating area, and free samples! Only complaint is it’s a bit pricey (around $10 a cup) but to be expected in the city. Would definitely return!

I called ahead and was told they were serving hot chocolate. I drove 45 minutes in traffic to take my parents. Upon arriving I was told oh you got connected to the corporate office we aren’t serving hot chocolate today. In addition, when I asked to use the restaurant I was asked “did you buy anything?” I’m sorry but after driving 45 minutes you could let me use the restroom:

I have visited La Maison du Chocolat on a variety of occasions over the years and was always impressed by the quality of the products and the competent service. However, my most recent visit, on Saturday afternoon, was disappointing. I ordered a cup of hot chocolate. To my surprise and dismay, it was poured piping hot into a paper cup with a plastic lid. When I remarked that one would expect it to be served at La Maison du Chocolat in a porcelain cup, I was told “we have no service today”. For the same curious reason, the pastries were hidden in boxes, with only their pictures in the display case. Three staffers were on duty. One to take the order, one to pour the hot chocolate (no coffee was available due to there being “no service”, and one who spent her time scrolling on her phone. We were permitted to sit in the closed off dining area where pastries were on display, and where I found a clean porcelain cup to pour my hot chocolate into. On my previous visits, a single staffer was present and able to serve seated customers. Despite previous critical reviews by other customers and pledges to correct the situation at the Madison Avenue location, little if anything has been done to effectively resolve poor management, resulting in a growing number of disappointed customers and tarnishing the reputation of La Maison du Chocolat. Quel dommage!

Today, my husband and I tried your chocolate for the first time and we are very impressed by your products. We made the purchase in New York (Madison Av @ 78th St). We are very lucky because we can easily come back when we want more chocolate! ?

How much do I like chocolate from La Maison du Chocolat? It is only possible to compare to the love of good wine - I like both, but dark chocolate will always be my first love! ?

Chocolate and other stuff are good as well depending on what you prefer and like. But not so extraordinary in my opinion.
Some people working here are super friendly and also offered me sample chocolates. And then I’ve encountered staff with no emotions and they were like statues. And I felt like they were doing favors by serving me.
One time I asked the lady who was ringing me up if I could use their restroom and her answer was that “we don’t have a restroom” which is a LIE lol. She could have simply made some other excuse but why lie?
I might start using their other location even though this store is more convenient.
