Un bon compromis à Des Moines

Chambre bien chauffée , personnel agréable mais malheureusement un petit déjeuner qui laisse à désirer

Aussi lors de mon séjour il n'y avait pas de restaurant ou du moins de service pour dîner. Gênant lorsque l'on arrive à 20h00 après 30 heures de vol.

Our kids love this hotel! We try to stay ground level near the pool area but if you would like more quiet I suggest staying furter away in another hallway. They are very accomodating. The front desk staff how been there awhile and it feels more like a family owned hotel when you come back and see friendly faces. Rooms are claen and comfortable. Perfect access to the airport with plently of parking.

The room was cool and the water pressure was good and hot in the shower. The hallways smell weird and their bar and all was closed the one night we were there. The front desk staff was very nice though and helpful. The shuttle was very quick to pick us up from the airport and she was very friendly. However, this morning we had breakfast on site and they only knew how to make eggs 1 or 2 ways. She was mostly pleasant. I would have given 2 stars but the staff was worth a star too.

Had an early morning flight out of DSM so I booked their Park Stay Go 8 day program. It turned out to be a very good decision. First off, check in upon arrival was a breeze. Aside from the usual process, I was asked to fill out an information card about my car, which I was going to leave in their lot for 5 nights. The room was clean and spacious. Amenities were modern. A very interesting fact is that the bed was a Murphy bed! I found out because I noticed the intriguing design of the bed and decided to explore. I had always wanted to try one, so this was awesome! I also liked the unique central zone under the “Holidome”, which houses a pool, lounge chairs, etc. The next morning, the hotel shuttle bus brought me to the airport, which was only around 5 minutes away. Upon return, I called the hotel and the shuttle came to pick me up within 10 minutes and I was dropped off right beside my car.

They had a mustang show that took up their entire parking lot! There was absolutely no parking in their lot and had to pay to park across the street and even that lot was getting full! The mustang show shouldn’t be in their parking lot and there’s road construction and an airport as well. Just a nightmare getting around to enjoy the city.

When I made reservations nothing was mentioned about this and then I had to pay $8 to park and getting to the check in place was a hassle and I had two toddlers as well. The owner said they paid for the parking they did not - I paid for the parking.

If I would have been forewarned about the mustang show that would have been one thing. With the fair being the same weekend it was just a hassle. I will not advise going to this hotel especially after spending so much on a room. Also, I asked the hotel for two paper plates and they said I had to order a pizza for two plates.

Owner responded which you can see below. Nothing was mentioned on the phone to me until I checked in and it was too late to change reservations.

Reasonable hotel. Room was clean and in good repair. Service at the desk was a little slow, but they were busy. The general condition of things was dated but in good repair. The elevators are a little old and slow. My room was on the third floor and opened to the balcony above the indoor courtyard. Noise levels were very reasonable. I would definitely stay here again.
